چکیده

It is shown that the infinite energy density of zero-point radiation can be renormalized to a finite value, K c o ρ 2 , where K o ρ is the inertial mass density corresponding to gravitational mass density ρ o , by inclusion of gravitational self-potential energy, provided that 4 2 π ρ G R o = 3 2 Kc , which is the condition that K c o ρ 2 closes the universe at radius R. When material mass m * is renormalized in the same way the result is m r m r R b g c hc h = − − * 2 1 2 2 . Negative mass m(r) interacting gravitationally with positive ρ o is accelerated outwards subject to K m r γ 2 b g = constant, where

Newtonian versus relativistic nonlinear cosmology

Both for the background world model and its linear perturbations Newtonian cosmology coincides with the zero-pressure limits of relativistic cosmology. However, such successes in Newtonian cosmology are not purely based on Newton’s gravity, but are rather guided ones by previously known results in Einstein’s theory. The action-at-a-distance nature of Newton’s gravity requires further verificati...

Bounds upon Graviton Mass – using the difference between graviton propagation speed and HFGW transit speed to observe post-Newtonian corrections to gravitational potential fields Updated to take into account early universe cosmology

The author presents a post-Newtonian approximation based upon an earlier argument in a paper by Clifford Will as to Yukawa revisions of gravitational potentials, in part initiated by gravitons having explicit mass dependence in their Compton wave length. Prior work with Clifford Will’s idea was stymied by the application to binary stars and other such astrophysical objects, with non-useful freq...

Dimensional regularization of the third post-Newtonian gravitational wave generation from two point masses

Dimensional regularization is applied to the computation of the gravitational wave field generated by compact binaries at the third post-Newtonian (3PN) approximation. We generalize the wave generation formalism from isolated post-Newtonian matter systems to d spatial dimensions, and apply it to point masses (without spins), modelled by delta-function singularities. We find that the quadrupole ...

On the cosmological variation of the fine structure constant

A phenomenological model is proposed to explain the recent observed cosmological variation of the fine structure constant as an effect of the quantum vacuum, assuming a flat universe with cosmological constant Λ in the cases (ΩM ,ΩΛ) equal to (0.3, 0.7) and (1, 0). Because of the fourth Heisenberg relation, the lifetime of the virtual pairs of the zero-point radiation must depend on the gravita...

Past and Future of Cosmic Topology

The global topology of the universe, including questions about the shape of space, its volume and its connectedness, is a fundamental issue in cosmology which has been overlooked for many years, except by some pioneering authors (see references in LachièzeRey & Luminet, 1995, hereafter LaLu95). In the first part of the present article, I set out some unexplored historical material about the ear...
